WithumSmith+Brown honored by Leadership Newark, Inc.


The Board of Trustees and the Fellows of Leadership Newark, Inc. honored WithumSmith+Brown, PC, at their upcoming Gala Reception on Wednesday, April 22, 2009. The theme of the event was "Working Together for Newark's Future", and highlighted leaders in the community who have a demonstrated track record and offer the greatest promise of working together for Newark's future. WithumSmith+Brown was recognized as the Outstanding Corporate Partner honoree at the event.

 

“WithumSmith+Brown's hard work and dedication has continuously added value to both the City and Leadership Newark on many levels,” says Celia M. King, MPS, Executive Director of Leadership Newark, Inc.  “This is a well deserved award recognizing the Firm’s unwavering commitment to the community, consistently exemplifying the Leadership Newark mission, while supporting, mentoring and working in tandem with those committed to building strong communities.”

 

In addition to WithumSmith+Brown, other honorees included The United Way of Essex & West Hudson as the Outstanding Community Partner; Jeanine LaRue, Vice President, Office of Public Affairs with Rutgers, The State University with the Humanitarian Award and Karen Thomas, CEO, Marion P. Thomas Charter School with the Distinguished Fellow Award.


Leadership Newark is a 2-year fellowship program for qualified professionals committed to the Greater Newark community.
