Baseball Stamps

On July 20, the U.S. Postal Service will issue postage stamps picturing Baseball Hall of Famers Ted Williams, Larry Doby, Willie Stargell and Joe DiMaggio.

Although many of us now use computerized stamps or meters, many also still use stamps for personal mail, greeting cards, bill payments and other things not done online.  Writing letters is becoming a lost art or skill and pasting little stamps on envelopes is slowly becoming extinct.  However, think about how happy you are when you receive or send a greeting card from or to a loved one.  Do you ever send a card for no special occasion except to say you are thinking of them? Try it!  Also think about how you can excite a young baseball fan if you handwrote a little note and mailed it in an envelope franked with one of these new stamps.  Try this also.

If you would want a commemorative envelope mailed to you with one of these new stamps postmarked on the first day of their sale, send me an email with your postal mailing address and the stamp you want on the envelope and I’ll send you one, gratis!  Maybe you will like it so much that you will want to find out more about stamp collecting, or the great players on the stamps if you do not already know “everything” about them.  My email address is [email protected].

How Can We Help?
