Begin the New Year With Your Holiday Smile

During the extended Christmas holiday season, which also included Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, I noticed that most people freely wish a ‘Happy Holiday’ to almost everyone they interact with.

It is truly a season of good cheer with continual smiles and cheerfulness. Yet, when the new year starts it is along with a drop in temperature and the smiles usually disappear and we revert back to gloominess and grouchiness. Why?

Why not continue the feeling of good cheer into the new year and relive the happy holiday season and feel bright regardless of the subfreezing temperature and the onset of the dark side of people. It also does not matter if you celebrate Christmas or any other holiday or no holiday. It can be done quite easy following just two steps.

  1. Think nice!
  2. Smile!

We can’t control the weather, so fuhgeddaboudit. Why burden yourself with something that is happening as expected and that you have no control over? The same goes for people who are bothersome. Think nice!

Why not maintain your happy Holiday season thoughts and smile more often?

Smiles and niceness are contagious. So are grouchiness and gloom. Each person is a thought leader to everyone they come in contact with. Be a carrier of smiles. People will like you better and so will you.

Think about your Holiday smile!

Have a Happy, Joyous and Peaceful New Year filled with smiles.
