How Much Revenue Would a $25,000 Cap on Itemized Deductions Raise?
The Tax Policy Center took a look at Romney’s promise to fully offset his tax rate cuts with a $25,000 cap on itemized deduction. And while their lightning quick response did little to dispel the notion that tax people have no outside interests, it did call into question Romney’s math.
