New Postage Stamps to be Issued on Sunday. Oops…
The U.S. Postal Service will issue a new stamp on Sunday to commemorate the opening of the new William H. Gross Stamp Gallery at the Nation al Postal Museum. The stamp is a reprint of the famous 24? inverted air mail stamp error that appeared in 1918 (which has a value today of over $500,000.)
The stamp is printed as a $2 stamp in a special souvenir sheet containing six stamps. Many post offices will be selling these stamps on Monday, so, ask for them.
I am a collector of first-day covers and want to share my hobby with the readers of my blog. For that reason, I will send a free first day cover of a single stamp with a special postmark to the first 1000 people e-mailing me their postal mailing address. One to a person and only until the end of 2013. Email me at [email protected]
How Can We Help?
