NJCPA Ovation Awards Honors Three Withum Team Members

The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) hosts their annual Ovation Awards to honor industry players with outstanding achievements in their fields. This year, Withum team members Kevin McElgunn, Vince Reilly and Frank Boutillette were honored in two of the six Ovation Award Categories.

Three Withum Team Members Honored at NJCPA Ovation Awards

Kevin McElgunn, Partner, was selected as an Innovation honoree for being at the forefront of a digital transformation and positioning himself as a leader within the industry by seeing the potential in pivoting Withum to cloud-based audit platforms, which utilize embedded digital communication tools and collaborative workplaces to deliver a truly personalized experience.

Kevin has long been a visionary for the audit of the future by embracing our ability to leverage data and new technology, and due to his tireless efforts and leadership within this multi-year initiative, which has created automated workflows that foster consistency, collaboration, and scalability. Withum’s innovative culture reinforces their commitment to being a client-centric firm dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of those they serve. The firm has successfully completed a substantial number of engagements through the cloud-based audit platforms, while still maintaining the high-quality, professional deliverables expected from a conventional audit. Kevin is truly transforming the entire industry and helping Withum lead the way in this journey.

Impact

Vince Reilly, Principal, and Frank Boutillette, Partner Emeritus, were both selected as Impact honorees. Vince was recognized for his work as a volunteer emergency medical technician for the Mendham Township First Aid Squad. Over the past 20 years, he has responded to hundreds of first aid calls and has assisted in patient care in a wide variety of medical emergencies, ranging from minor emergencies to multiple vehicle accidents with numerous patients requiring additional mutual aid resources from other towns. In addition, Vince has also been elected to several officer positions within the Mendham Township First Aid Squad, including both Captain and President, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees.

Frank was selected for his continued contributions to the NJCPA. For decades, Frank has supported the organization and its members through the many positions he has held and through the countless seminars that he has presented. He has served as NJCPA President, Trustee and Treasurer. Frank is Past Chair of the NICPA Peer Review Executive Committee of which he remains a member. He is also currently a presenter of the NJCPA’s NJ Law & Ethics seminar, a required course for all New Jersey CPAs.
